Use Guiyang as the main transport base, book intercity trains with your passport and confirm scenic-shuttle return times before leaving the city.
Railway arrival
Foreign passengers can verify a passport and buy tickets through the English 12306 service or at a staffed counter. Check whether your train uses Guiyang or Guiyang North.
Scenic shuttles
Guiyang's official tourism information lists reserved shuttle services to places including Qingyan and Huangguoshu. Confirm the current route and pickup point before travel.
Payment backup
Set up a supported mobile wallet, but also keep RMB cash. Rural drivers, small shops and temporary ticket points may not accept the same methods as central Guiyang.
